  • Ann Arbor Fall Wedding

Ryan was wonderful to work with! He was thorough, transparent, and thoughtful throughout the entire process. He helped this camera-shy couple feel at ease during the engagement and wedding photo shoots, and his attention to detail resulted in some of our favorite photos of candid moments from our big day. Ryan was very intentional about including aspects of our lives and story as a couple that were meaningful to us. Planning a wedding can be a stressful experience, but choosing to work with Ryan meant that the photography part was straightforward and fun.

  • Downriver Michigan Wedding

My family continues to rave about how beautiful the photos turned out from the wedding. Ryan didn't miss a beat making sure he got all the shots we wanted and even more. I was so pleased with all of the candid shots he got and we didn't even realize it. The photos perfectly capture the love, happiness and excitement throughout the day.

On our big day, Ryan was on top of his game and took amazing photos. We immediately recommended him to our relative who was in need of a photographer and again, he did not disappoint.

My Story

Ryan Wright Takes Photos Outside of Chicago

Who Am I?

My name is Ryan Wright, and I’m 28 years old, and I’m an Ann Arbor Wedding Photographer! I started my photography journey all the way back in 2012. Let me tell you it’s been a wild ride since! I’ve photographed at major venues like the Chrysler Arena at the University of Michigan, the Breslin Center at Michigan State, and even Little Caesars Arena. I’ve met professional athletes and even famous actors from Hollywood because of this job. I’m just along for the ride in this career and I can’t wait to see where it takes me.

I’ve always loved the idea of photography. Being able to capture small fragments of time either digitally or physically to look back on and remember details with vivid accuracy. That’s why I love wedding photography. A wedding is a major day in your life and it deserves to be captured and remembered. Being the person who can capture those beautiful memories for you is an immense blessing and joy of mine and I don’t take it lightly.

    Why Me?

Not only do you get beautiful memories captured, but I also make sure your day goes smoothly and stress-free for you and your family. I offer a photojournalistic approach to photographing weddings. The best wedding photography happens when you get to be yourself. This style also helps every couple feel relaxed to help capture genuine moments as it's less invasive and you get to be yourselves. This means if you’re comfortable in front of a camera or not, you'll get amazing photographs. As a result, 90% of my wedding photos are candid and authentic moments. I use minimally staged posing and only direct when needed. I want you to feel and look as natural as possible. The best wedding photography are real moments photographed in the most beautiful way possible.

    Say Hello!

I’d love the opportunity to create with you! The best part of my job is getting to know the people in my photographs. Getting to know their past, their stories. Hearing their excitement as they talk about their future. It makes every photo I take not just a picture, but truly a moment in time captured forever. This is my way of giving back, my way of showing people who they are. Not an idealistic thought, a true and powerful showing of people who they really are.

    My Mission

Every year I donate 5% of my profits to a local high school yearbook/photography program. I wanted to give this amazing creative field more help in reaching more schools and students who want to discover photography. More and more children are finding photography as a creative outlet thanks to phones and how great they’re becoming. The gear itself can be very costly and obviously, school districts don’t often offer much help. That’s where I step in. With this money, it can go into more gear, editing programs, and simply more education. Let’s help the next generation express themselves through photography!
